KABUL, Aug 15 (The HQ News) – Taliban forces entered Afghanistan’s capital Kabul on Sunday surprisingly earlier than estimated by the U.S. & NATO, conquering Kabul without any resistance from Ashraf Ghani led govt. and the Afghan Army.
Immediately after Taliban forces surrounded Kabul, Ashraf Ghani started contacting top US, NATO and other world power representatives pleading for his safe exit from Afghanistan while conveyed to Taliban leadership that they are welcome to Kabul peacefully, as per sources.
During the Taliban forces takeover of Kabul the U.S. diplomats were evacuated urgently by helicopters while files/records at U.S. embassy Kabul burnt by the US embassy staff.
Taliban forces have surrounded the Afghan capital from all sides but are not indulging in any fight so far as their terror was enough for the massive almost three hundred fifty thousand Afghan State Army raised over years by the US and NATO at the cost of hundreds of billions US dollars.
Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen assured that Taliban forces would protect the private properties of the people, will not infringe rights of women and ensure freedoms for media workers and diplomats.
