Tensions on France’s streets ease, as heavy police deployed by Macron to control the riots

Indian media started a massive campaign on social media both highlighting the riots in France extensively and falsely using the video clips and images of the riots against the religion Islam and the Muslim immigrants in EU

PARIS, 3rd July (The HeadQuarters News) – The riots in France having flared up after the killing of a teenager by French Police official have started to calm down since yesterday as fewer than 160 people were arrested  overnight, down from over 700 arrests the night before and over 1,300 on Friday night.

French government led by Emmanuel Macron deputed massive 45,000 police officers to control the riots and has been able to control the rioters after five nights of heavy riots.

The easing of tensions has also offered some relief to the European Union as there was a great concern of the riots spreading outside to rest of the Europe while creating doubts over the control of Macron on his country.

France has just few months ago recovered from widespread protests over an unpopular pension reform and a year out from hosting the Olympic Summer Games.

Though reported damages to buildings were around 350 and that of vehicles around 300 but sources claim the actual unreported numbers of damages to private and public properties far higher.

Since last Tuesday (the killing of the teenager by the French Police official) rioters have taken law into their hands, damaged state assets, torched cars, looted stores, targeted town halls and other infrastructure.

The rioters also attacked the home of the mayor of a Paris suburb, which was attacked while his wife and children were asleep inside on Saturday.

Shot teenager’s grandmother appeals the nation to stop violence

Indian media using the protests against the religion Islam and the immigrants in EU

Meanwhile the Indian media started a massive campaign on social media both highlighting the riots in France extensively and falsely using the video clips and images of the riots against the religion Islam and the Muslim immigrants being granted asylum in the European union.

The Indian media and related broadcasters failingly tried to portray the riots in France as “Islam versus EU” or “Muslim Immigrants as terrorists and law violators” but the French government and the French people and the entire EU nationals while condemning the riots showed their sympathies to the teenager killed ruthlessly by the police official and stressed on the Police officials to mend their ways of dealing the people.

Sources claim that the French and the EU officials also acknowledged that  the riots have not arisen from a religion factor but being flared up from the severe violation of human rights and the killing of a teenager by a Police official which is an extremely inhumane act and must not be allowed in future.
