Renowned Pakistani classical vocalist Ustad Amanat Ali Khan’s 48th death anniversary to be observed on Sunday

Ustad Amanat Ali Khan released many ghazals but his most famous even today are "Insha Ji Utho Ab Kuch Karo", "Honton Pe Kabhi Unke Mera Naam" and "Mora Jiya Na Lagay" and many others.

Renowned Pakistani classical vocalist Ustad Amanat Ali Khan’s 48th death anniversary will be observed on Sunday the 18th September 2022.

Ustad Amanat Ali Khan was a renown Pakistani classical vocalist belonging to the famous Patiala gharaana (family) of musicians.

He had migrated to Pakistan in 1948 and was born in the Indian city Hoshiarpur in year 1922.

He is among very few classical singers who got massive fame and respect both in classical as well as in Ghazal formats of singing.

Ustad Amanat Ali Khan released many ghazals but his most famous even today are “Insha Ji Utho Ab Kuch Karo”, “Honton Pe Kabhi Unke Mera Naam” and “Mora Jiya Na Lagay” and many others.

Ustad Amanat Ali died on September 18, 1974 and was laid to rest in Mominpura Graveyard, Lahore.

For his revered contributions to classical music, Ustad Amanat Ali Khan was awarded the highest national literary award of Pakistan – the Pride of Performance – by the President of Pakistan in 2009.
