Qasim Khan Suri’s membership of National Assembly is being restored by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The apex court while hearing the Pakistan Tehreek -e- Insaaf (PTI) leader suspended the decision of the Election Tribunal as well as the notification of the Election Commission of Pakistan which had ordered for holding of fresh elections in the constituency from which Suri had won his NA seat.
A three member bench headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial heard the case and gave the interim relief on the petition of Suri contested by Naeem Bukhari.
