PTI inches closer to Historic victory as rivals cry foul

Election Desk: Pakistan’s 2018 general elections concluded with polling stations closing at 6pm yesterday. The elections concluded largely peacefully despite earlier attacks on candidates with few incidents of violence reported from various areas of the country. According to unofficial results PTI is leading massively in the National Assembly Seats and will make the Federal Government with Imran Khan as country’s Prime Minister while in KPK and Punjab also PTI is in strong position for making Government of its choice.

The Election Commission of Pakistan’s failure regards to its electronic software system for timely releasing election results was greatly criticized by all major political parties.

The Election Commission while denying the claims of some politicians/parties of managed results stated that a new electronic results system suffered unexpected glitches leading to a delay in the formal vote count. Despite the technical issues, “these elections were 100 per cent fair and transparent”, said Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Muhammad Raza earlier today, in his first comments after polls closed.

Unofficial and unconfirmed results from different constituencies started pouring in as the clock struck 7:00 PM on July 25, an hour after the polling process came to an end across the country.

In Sindh province PPPP which has claimed massive majority will make its government while PTI will be in opposition.

Only in Balochistan province the government making will be complicated and unpredictable initially.
