Pakistan warmly welcomes TRH Prince William, Kate Middleton
The British Royal couple, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Their Royal Highnesses (TRH) Prince William and Kate Middleton have arrived in Islamabad a while ago on a four-day visit to Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi accompanied by the British High Commissioner Thomas Drew and other important government officials welcomed TRH Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Noor Khan Air Base.
This is the first visit of TRH Prince Willian and Kate Middleton to Pakistan.
Their visit is organized on the request of United Kingdom’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Few hours before leaving to the Airport for welcoming and receiving the royal couple the British High Commissioner on his twitter account said: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are arriving in Pakistan today for their first official visit. Their Royal Highnesses are looking forward to building a lasting relationship with the people of Pakistan”.

Earlier an official handout from Kensington Palace had stated that “during their time in Pakistan, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit Islamabad, Lahore, Gilgit-Baltistan and rugged border regions to the west. The visit will span over 1,000 kilometers, and will take in Pakistan’s rich culture, its diverse communities, and its beautiful landscapes”.
