Pakistan and Turkey sign MoU for cooperation in trade, electronic data exchange

ISLAMABAD (15th Feb, 2020)  – Pakistan and Turkey signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for cooperation and enhancement of trade, imports, exports, transit operations and Electronic Data Exchange.

The signatory to the MOU on behalf of Pakistan was Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Mr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh and on behalf of Turkey the Turkish Minister of Trade Ruhsar Peckan.

It was also agreed that both countries will cooperate in eliminating different customs offences and smuggling tactics used by some businesses to avoid taxes.
