Pakistan records less than 1,000 CoronaVirus cases for fifth consecutive day

Pakistan has recorded less than 1,000 CoronaVirus cases for the fifth consecutive day.

During the last 24 hours, 979 cases were reported after 42,062 tests were conducted.

The positivity rate during this period has been recorded as 2.3 % and the total number of cases reported so far have risen to 957,371.

Meanwhile, 27 coronavirus-related deaths have been reported in the country, taking the total death toll to 22,281.

The details of coronavirus cases and deaths reported during the last 24 hours in the country are  as follows:

  • Sindh: 545 cases, 13 deaths
  • Punjab: 144 cases, 7 deaths
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 120 cases, 5 deaths
  • Balochistan: 62 cases, 1 death
  • Gilgit-Baltistan: 38 cases
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 37 cases
  • Islamabad: 33 cases, 1 death

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) reports that 390,239 vaccine doses were administered in the country on June 29, and a total of 15,971,641doses have been administered thus far.
