Pakistan observes Quaid-e-Azam’s birth anniversary with respect, traditional zeal
KARACHI-ZHOB-ISLAMABAD (December 25, 2018): Today the entire Pakistani nation and lovers of Pakistan will celebrate the occasion of 143rd birth anniversary of Pakistan’s founder Quaid-e-Azam, Muhammed Ali Jinnah with respect and traditional zeal.
The founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam, Muhammed Ali Jinnah was born on December 25, 1876, in Karachi. He served as the leader of the All-India Muslim League from 1913 until Pakistan’s independence on August 14, 1947.
Starting from Pakistan’s Independence Day, Jinnah held the position of the nation’s first governor-general until his death on September 11, 1948.
Festivities
The day in the metropolis will dawn with special prayers in mosques for peace, progress, and prosperity of the country and Jinnah’s eternal peace.
A change of guards’ ceremony will take place at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam, with Imran Ismail and Syed Murad Ali Shah, the governor and chief minister, respectively, of Sindh, and members of the provincial cabinet scheduled to visit and lay floral wreaths at 10 AM.
Karachi’s Mayor Waseem Akhter will also visit Quaid’s mausoleum at 11:15 AM to lay flowers and offer ‘Fateha’ prayers on behalf of the people of the city.
The government of Sindh has notified December 25 as a public holiday for all offices of autonomous, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under its administrative control except essential services.
Around Pakistan
The day will be marked as a public holiday and the national flag will be hoisted on principal government buildings across the country. Special events will be arranged on the day to highlight and promote his ideas and views, particularly with regard to rule of law, the supremacy of the constitution, and upholding democracy.
The events will be arranged to educate the youth about the Quaid’s vision, struggle for a separate homeland, and Pakistan’s ideology.
A large number of people from all walks of life are expected to visit the Quaid’s mausoleum to pay tribute to him for the services he rendered for the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent.
Zhob, Balochistan
National Anthem of Pakistan will be recited by the noble persons of several tribes and locals of ‘Zhob Division’ at 8:00 am today at ‘Sralza, Zhob’ under the leadership of “(Sardar-e-Aala) Sardar Hayaat MUHAMMED Khan Mandokhel” to give a message to the ‘Anti-Pakistan Elements’ that all Pakistani’s are united under the flag of Pakistan as per the vision of Quaid-e-Azam MUHAMMED Ali Jinnah and teachings of our last Prophet Hazrat MUHAMMED MUSTAFA (Peace Be Upon Him).
