No-deal Brexit – Johnson has support of UK cabinet

The United Kingdom cabinet ministers will back Prime Minister Boris Johnson over a no-deal Brexit, as per media sources.

It is very interesting that the total thirteen cabinet ministers |of which eight opposed Brexit| are reported to have committed supporting no-deal if Johnson determines it necessary.

The UK and EU agreed to restart negotiations on Sunday in a last-ditch attempt to resolve what were described as “significant differences”.

Johnson and Ursula von der Leyen (the President of European Union Commission) are due to hold another phone call on Monday evening – at the same time as the House of Commons reconsiders the sections of the UK Internal Market Bill which envisage breaking international law by rewriting the Brexit deal signed by Boris Johnson last year.

Earlier on Dec, 5th Ursula von der Leyen reported on social media that the discussion with Johnson over the phone call was not fruitful and that another attempt of negotiations among chief negotiators from both side will reconvene on Sunday after which the two will speak again on phone on Monday.

After months of talks, both sides have failed to reach agreement on the three major issues of “fishing rights”, the “level playing field” relating to state aid and business standards, and the “mechanism for resolving future disputes”.
