Pakistan’s most powerful and famous Army Officer Lt. General Faiz Hameed appointed as DG ISI

GHQ RAWALPINDI (Sunday, June 16, 2019): Pakistan’s history’s most powerful and famous Army officer Faiz Hameed who had recently (on April, 12, 2019) been promoted to the rank of “Lieutenant General” is being appointed as Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) today.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) the military’s media wing today announced the high profile postings and transfers.

As per ISPR, Lieutenant General Amir Abbasi has been appointed as Quarter Master General, Lieutenant General Moazzam Ijaz as Engineering Chief, Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza as Adjutant General at GHQ and Lieutenant General Asim Munir as Corps Commander Gujranwala.

Lt. General Faiz Hameed has earlier effectively served as the head of the Counter Intelligence wing of ISI in Pakistan Army.

Lt. General Faiz Hameed’s earlier tenure of counter intelligence has been the most successful in the history of Pakistan as he successfully limited terrorism in Pakistan by using advanced level of intelligence even though the country was a severe target of two neighbouring countries and others who were investing hundreds of millions of dollars to destabilise Pakistan using external and internal forces, as per sources.

The Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s decision of appointing Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed as DG ISI is being highly commended by the think tanks of  Pakistan and friendly countries of Pakistan in the region as per sources.
