NASA declares India’s ASAT missile test ‘Anti human spaceflight’

NASA, administrator Jim Bridenstine, declared India’s March 27 anti-satellite missile test “Mission Shakti” (which destroyed India’s own  satellite in low Earth orbit and blasted 400 pieces of debris into space) a “terrible, terrible thing”.

Speaking at a livestreamed Town Hall gathering of NASA employees, Bridenstine said: “That kind of activity is not compatible with the future of human spaceflight”. “It’s unacceptable and NASA needs to be very clear about what its impact to us is.”

Bridenstine further said that India’s negative activities are not compatible with future of human spaceflight.
