Karachi Development: PKR 162 Billion for 18 Projects approved by PM

Karachi (Saturday, 30 March 2019) – A massive PKR 162 Billion package for 18 mega projects aimed towards the development of Karachi are approved and announced by the Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan Imran Khan here today.

Addressing the Karachi Transformation Committee the PM said 10 of these projects are related to transport sector, seven to water and sewerage and one to water conservation.

The PM emphasized that Pakistan cannot move forward unless Karachi is developed and a solid planning is required for Karachi’s progress, for which Karachi’s new master plan keeping in view future needs will be developed.

He assured PTI led government’s commitment to Karachi’s development.

Later in the day Imran Khan planted a sapling at Bagh-Ibn- Qasim Karachi which is reopened recently after about a decades neglect and intentional damage by some in Sindh Govt. in an effort to give away the same to a big property tycoon who is notorious for being above the law as per sources.
