India’s claim of hitting down Pakistani F-16 fighter jet wrong, Foreign Policy Magazine

One of world’s reliable magazine Foreign Policy in its own research has declared that “India’s claim that one of its fighter pilots shot down a Pakistani F-16 fighter jet in an aerial battle between the two nuclear powers in February appears to be wrong”.

The magazine claims this on the basis of two senior U.S. defense officials with direct knowledge of the situation who told the magazine that U.S. personnel recently counted Islamabad’s F-16s and found none missing.

The revelation proves false the claims of Indian Air Force officials, who kept on telling international and local indian media that Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman managed to shoot down a Pakistani F-16 before his own plane was downed by a Pakistani missile.

The media division of Pakistan Army through DGISPR has also welcomed the news of Foreign Policy which confirms Pakistan’s statement since day one. The DGISPR in his official tweet said that : “Allah be praised, truth always prevails. Time for India to speak truth about false claims & actual losses on their side including the second aircraft shot down by Pakistan. India needs introspection especially over atrocities in IOK. Region needs peace, progress & prosperity”.
