Elon Musk restarted Tesla production, says ready to get arrested or move his factory to other US State
Elon Musk the Chief Executive of Tesla Inc. (TSLA.O) on Monday announced the resumption of production at the automaker’s sole U.S. vehicle factory, in California, in violation of an “Alameda County” order to keep the factory closed, as per sources.
In a very aggressive statement Elon Musk said that if in violation of the order someone had to be arrested it should be him.
He took this move citing example of many states and cities of the USA which are relaxing the lockdown to safely stage wise reopen business activities which had to be shut down after the Coronavirus pandemic.
Elon Musk being frustrated over his business closure even threatened to leave California for Texas or Nevada.
In reply to a tweet Elon Musk admitted that California state approved the resuming of Tesla production, further clarifying that an unelected county official illegally overrode.
He also claimed that all other auto companies in US are approved to resume while only Tesla has been singled out which is a super messed up situation.
Tesla is restarting production today against Alameda County rules. I will be on the line with everyone else. If anyone is arrested, I ask that it only be me.

Yes, California approved, but an unelected county official illegally overrode. Also, all other auto companies in US are approved to resume. Only Tesla has been singled out. This is super messed up!
