Diamer-Bhasha Dam – Imran Khan orders to start construction activities

Diamer-Bhasha Dam one of the largest hydroelectric and irrigation project of Pakistan has been green signal by Imran Khan the Prime Minister of Pakistan who chairing a briefing on national water security strategy and construction of dams to meet agricultural as well as energy requirements of the country directed to start the construction activities of Diamer Bhasha Dam.

Imran Khan emphasized the use of local material and expertise during the construction of Diamer Bhasha Dam in order to boost local jobs and businesses.

He was briefed in detail about the progress of resolution of all pending issues pertaining to construction of Diamer Bhasha Dam.

Chairman WAPDA briefed the PM and others present about progress of ongoing construction of Mohmand Dam also which started recently.

Imran Khan was also updated about the progress on resolution of pending issued related to Dasu Dam project.

Imran Khan appreciated the efforts of Ministry of Water Resources and WAPDA for pursuing projects passionately.
