China faces ‘grave situation’ as coronavirus toll hits 41, says XI
BEIJING – Chinese President Xi Jinping said China is facing a “grave situation” as the death toll from the CoronaVirus outbreak jumped to 41.
Over 1,400 people are reported to be infected from the virus worldwide with the majority being within China.
To control the spread of the virus Hong Kong has declared a virus emergency, stopped celebrations and restricted links to mainland China.
In Australia four cases are confirmed, Malaysia confirmed three and France confirmed one virus infection case while the remaining countries of the world are anxious and taking measures to prevent the spread of the virus from China and Chinese travellers around the world as per sources.
USA has arrangements done to bring its citizens and diplomats back from Wuhan, the central Chinese city that is the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, as per sources.
The coronavirus outbreak even overshadowed the country’s celebrations of the Lunar New Year which began on Saturday.
