Zahoor Baber Afridi, is truly a Pakistani hero fighting crime and terrorism while putting his life at risk as Police officer.

Early Life & Education

Zahoor Baber Afridi belongs to the tribal belt of erstwhile ‘Khyber Agency’.

He was born and raised in Peshawar. Did his schooling, college and university education from Peshawar and graduated with distinction with a master’s degree in political science from ‘University of Peshawar’.

 Joining ‘Police Service of Pakistan (PSP)’

Zahoor Baber Afridi having qualified the top administrative examination of Pakistan i.e, CSS joined ‘Police Service of Pakistan (PSP)’.

Having got training after joining PSP Zahoor Afridi’s services were assigned to the most turbulent province of Pakistan i.e, ‘Balochistan’ where he served in the most volatile districts.

His specialist abilities as a crime fighter and anti-terrorism expert earned him great reputation and his services were further requested in the region.

Zahoor Baber Afridi is awarded many certificates and accolades for his counterterrorism, peace maintenance and other professional police services.

As a PSP officer Zahoor Afridi has the honour of investigating many high profile cases of terrorism.

Recently in 2017, Zahoor Afridi’s services were placed at the disposal of ‘Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’ (KPK) province where the most politically charged District Charsadda was assigned to him as a DPO. Another major task here for him was to stop infiltration of terrorists from erstwhile ‘Mohmand Agency FATA’.

Prior to the general elections of 2018, he was posted to Dera Ismail Khan (D.I. Khan) the area wise largest district of ‘KPK’.

The challenge here was immense precarious security situation in wake of target killings of police personnel and leading religious scholars. But Zahoor Babar Afridi accepted this challenge and offered his services diligently and till date is posted in D.I. Khan keeping the district peaceful and countering crimes.

 Nomination for highest Police Award

The people of the districts where ‘Zahoor Babar Afridi’ served, his colleagues and “THE HEADQUARTERS” Daily highly recommend the Interior Minister to award him with the highest Police Awards i.e. Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal (QPM) and (or) President’s Police Medal (PPM) in the year 2019 for his extensive and fearless services towards elimination of crime and countering terrorism while putting his life on risk all the time.
