ISLAMABAD (Friday, 08 Feb 2019) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has confirmed his participation in the World Government Summit scheduled to be held in Dubai on Sunday.
He will also address the government representatives at the World Government Summit.
The World Government Summit will host the second Global A.I. Governance Forum in recognition of the rapidly evolving Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) technology and its implications on humanity. While institutions and government entities are seeking to address the challenges and opportunities that A.I. brings, there is a general lack of cohesion and understanding of that domain. In order to advance its safe evolution and impact, the UAE is aiming to create an aligned Global Strategy for the Governance for A.I. The aim of the Roundtable is to facilitate dynamic policy recommendations and create a roadmap for all nations to adopt. This year the World Government Summit is gathering over 50 of the world’s foremost thinkers, leaders and practitioners of A.I. in one room – to contemplate and develop ways to help guide us shape the future of society.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal in a statement said that Prime Minister, in his key note address at the Summit, will highlight his vision for a strong and prosperous Pakistan. He will encourage investment in different sectors of Pakistan’s economy.
He said Prime Minister’s participation will emphasize Pakistan’s strong interest in the knowledge economy, artificial intelligence, green development and the importance of innovation for growth.
During his day-long visit to the country Prime Minister will also meet the UAE leadership and discuss bilateral issues.
