UK following Pakistan’s policy to ease out its nation from lockdown to save dwindling economy

LONDON – Just days after Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan eased Pakistan’s lockdown and allowed the public oriented businesses to open for certain days and times now following similar policy United Kingdom has on Wednesday warily started easing the lockdown for persons and businesses which cannot operate online or from home, as per sources.

The decision is taken in view of seriously dwindling economy which is being severely hit after social distancing policy was implemented since 23rd March 2020 in wake of coronavirus pandemic.

UK had to face largest no of COVID-19 caused fatalities i.e. over 40,000 being the largest in Europe.

The UK’s economy face a significant recession which is further expected to decline steeply.

The GDP figures showed UK’s economy shrank by a record 5.8% in March from February, and the April – till mid May data when released the figures will be even horrible as the country was under lockdown for this entire period.
