U.S. Women’s Soccer team file appeal for equal pay ruling
The U.S. women’s soccer team have filed an appeal against a decision of an honourable district court ordered last week whereby it had dismissed the Women’s Soccer team plea for equal pay, as per sources.
In its order the District Court Judge Hon. R. Gary Klausner said the World Cup champions were paid more on both a cumulative and an average per-game basis than their male counterparts, who failed to qualify for the last World Cup.
The decision of the honorable court was a blow to the high-profile case of the women soccer team who were contesting against their federation.
