SAN FRANCISCO – The Twitter Inc. Chief Executive Jack Dorsey’s twitter account was hacked on Friday afternoon which is a glimpse of the bigger threats the world may face due to security flaws in Social Media Companies.
While being hacked derogatory, racist and inhumane tweets and retweets from the Twitter CEO account were sent to over four million followers till the social media company secured back the account.
Twitter Inc. alleges that the phone number associated with its CEO’s account was compromised due to a security oversight by the mobile provider.
While being hacked the user posted a hashtag that was used during the apparent hacks of several YouTube stars last week.
The hacker tweeted in favour of Germany’s Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and against the Jews and balack people.
The hacker also tweeted claiming there was a bomb at Twitter’s headquarters.
The hacker’s tweets and retweets were deleted within an hour after the incident.
The screenshots of the tweets as seen online appeared to have been sent through “Cloudhopper”, a mobile text messaging service that was acquired by Twitter in 2010, as per source.
HayaTech’s CEO “Mr. Sardar Mandokhel after analysing the situation regarded the Twitter’s CEO’s account hacking a grave concern and a massive security flaw – as Twitter is now the main tool of communication between the world leaders”,
“He said the world super Power USA’s President Donal Trump release all his key viewpoints and decisions over twitter and God forbid if Trump’s or other world leader Twitter account is hacked and misused it may prompt world wars too”.
Twitter Inc. claims that there was no indication that Twitter’s systems had been compromised.
