Relief measures by G20, WB and IMF for developing countries appreciated by PM Pakistan

The debt relief measures by G20, World Bank (WB), The International Monetary Fund (IMF) for developing countries including Pakistan were appreciated by Imran Khan the Prime Minister (PM) of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The PM gave his remarks while in a meeting with Finance Advisor Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh in Islamabad on Thursday.

Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh in the meeting informed the PM about the planned approval of an additional US $1.4 billion concessionary financing from IMF to deal with coronavirus pandemic aftereffects on Pakistani economy.

Sheikh also updated the PM about the progress on various components of Economic Stimulus Package announced by the PTI led federal government.
