Pakistan’s NCOC announces stringent restrictions on some high risk public activities to control COVID-19
Pakistan’s National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has announced stringent restrictions on some high risk public activities to control COVID-19.
The country has seen a sudden rise referred to as the second wave of COVID-19 (corona virus) in many in many regions.
Asad Umer the head of NCOC in official tweets on Thursday said:
“NCOC today approved the use of anti gen testing, in addition to the PCR tests being carried out. This is part of strategy to increase the level of testing. The symptomatic cases will all still be administered PCR tests. The decision is in line with the guidelines issued by WHO”,
“After more than 70 days the national covid positivity ratio was higher than 3% yesterday. Ncoc has tightened restrictions on some high risk public activities. However, the rising spread of the disease can only be controlled if people believe in the need for precautions”.
