IHC Justice Aamer Farooq dismissed disqualification petitions against 3 PTI Women MNA’s

Justice Aamer Farooq a senior judge of  Islamabad High Court (IHC) has today dismissed the disqualification petitions against the PTI MNA Tashfeen Safdar, Maleeka Bokhari and Kanwal Shauzab.

The petitions were filed by the PML (N) workers who through their lawyer sought the three PTI MNA’s disqualification under Article 26 and 63 of the country’s Constitution and had requested the court to suspend the membership of the lawmakers until the petitions are decided by it.

The petitioners had pleaded that Malaika Bukhari should be declared ineligible to be member of Parliament for possessing dual nationality, whereas Tashfeen Safdar be also disqualified for concealing information about her dual nationality in her nomination papers.
