Iran Floods – Pakistan sends relief goods for Iranian flood victims

ISLAMABAD/TEHRAN (Wed, April 10, 2019) – Even though the brave Iranian Nation using its own resources is itself facing the severe natural calamity from the recent flash floods without seeking any external help –  Pakistan has as a token of brotherhood sent an aircraft carrying relief goods for the Iranian flood victims which landed in Ahwaz on Wednesday.

The widespread flash floods in Iran since March 17 to date have affected large areas of Iran particularly severely affecting Golestan, Fars, Khuzestan, Lorestan, and other provinces, as a result of which over 70 people died nationwide and caused monetary losses of hundreds of millions of dollars to the country as per sources.

Riffat Masood Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran, handed over the relief goods to the Iranian officials.

The relief items included tents, blankets and medical kits.
