International Olympic Committee suspends all sports events in India

International Olympic Committee (IOC) has suspended all sports events in India until it guarantees to comply with rules of the Committee.

The decision was taken after New Delhi refused to give visas to Pakistani shooters for shooting competition, beginning in India tomorrow.

In a statement, the Committee said this situation goes against fundamental principles of the Olympic Charter.

It said equal treatment must be guaranteed for all participating athletes and sporting delegations at international sports events, without any form of discrimination or political interference from the host country.
