Imran Khan thinks being a WOMAN is an INSULT – Bilawal
ISLAMABAD (Thursday, April 25, 2019) – Bilawal Bhutto Zardari the Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party and his party members both in government and outside are strongly protesting the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s referring him as ‘Sahiba’ which is an Urdu language word/ term used for those belonging to female gender.
Imran Khan used the word ‘Sahiba’ for Bilawal in his yesterday’s public address in Wana.
In a media talk Bilawal hailed the women of Pakistan as courageous and demanded equal spaces in the politics, economy and society of Pakistan.
Bilawal said that : “Referring to a man as a woman does not harm the man but what sort of message does this send to the women of Pakistan? That our prime minister is saying that being a woman is an insult?
Bilawal added that: “This is Pakistan and here women stand shoulder to shoulder with men. If there was no Fatima Jinnah would Pakistan be formed? If there was no Fatima Jinnah who would oppose Ayub?”
Referring to Imran Khan’s slip of tongue Bilawal remarked that: “Slip of tongues should not happen because it insults the entire nation. So many slips of tongue happen when we have selected PM [Imran Khan]“.
