China recognizes major progress in CPEC Infrastructure and Energy Projects

China has recognized major progress in the infrastructure and energy projects being completed under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework.

The recognition was made by Chinese Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson Hua Chunying at the 11th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum in Macao.

The Chinese spokesperson said CPEC is an important pilot program and both China and Pakistan are committed to bring greater benefits to both the countries and the entire region.

Chairman of CPEC Authority Asim Saleem Bajwa addressing at the forum, said there are 22 construction projects under the framework of CPEC, covering roads, railways, airports, thermal power, hydropower, renewable energy, Gwadar Port, special economic zones and other fields.
