China parliament approves Hong Kong security bill

HONG KONG/BEIJING (The HQ Daily) – China’s parliament has approved a decision on Thursday to proceed with national security legislation for Hong Kong which China claims is aimed to tackle secession, subversion, terrorism and foreign interference in the city.

On the other hand since last week protests against the proposed legislation had started in Hong Kong |which Chinese media and authorities claim to be foreign sponsored|.

The HeadQuarters News from its sources verified that the protestors are not large in numbers but in few hundreds but some anti-China sponsored and biased groups / social media and international media are showing it as massive large protests.

Riot police were out in force in Hong Kong as its lawmakers debated another piece of legislation, a bill to criminalise disrespect of China’s national anthem.

Some western countries and so called democracy activists interfering in China’s internal affairs are propagating that the legislation may erode Hong Kong’s freedoms and jeopardise its role as a global financial hub which China totally denies.
