BREXIT – May pushes divorce deal for third time

LONDON – British Prime Minister Theresa May is struggling hard after her twice-defeated European divorce deal.

Brexit has become “a bone stuck in the throat” for May.

She held emergency talks with senior colleagues and hardline Brexiteers yesterday in an effort to revive her twice rejected Brexit deal.

May held separate meeting with rebel lawmakers along with ministers David Lidington and Michael Gove and discussed a range of issues, including whether there is sufficient support in the Commons to bring back a meaningful vote (for her deal) this week,” as per sources.

Rumours of May resignation are also ripe in the government corridors which though none is verifying publicly but it is reported that clear message to May is being given to give fix date for the leaving of the premiers office so as to introduce a new strategy for Brexit, as per sources.

Analysts are expecting early elections or a fresh referendum over Brexit given the current impasse on Brexit.
