Delta (Indian) Variant of CoronaVirus fails all world strategies and revives the pandemic
Health Desk (The HQ News) – The CoronaVirus’s most recent mutation from India initially known as the Indian Variant later renamed as the Delta variant is the fastest spreading and most challenging version of the CoronaVirus which the world is battling with.
The Delta Variant of CoronaVirus is so complicated that all the world’s virologists, epidemiologists, health experts and governments strategies have failed in combatting it and the pandemic is reviving again all over the world.
The global massive vaccination did provide a shield of protection against severe disease and hospitalizations caused by any version of the coronavirus but the Delta (Indian) variant of CoronaVirus is infecting fully vaccinated people at a greater rate than previous variants of CoronaVirus and even has the capacity to further spread the virus at a greater rate through already vaccinated people too, as per sources.
This as a result has again forced the world to revert to the use of masks, social distancing, cleaning hands using soap or sanitizers etc. as were adopted at the start of the pandemic even in communities, cities and countries with extensive vaccination drives.
Delta variant has the United States in its grip where about 83% of new infections are from this variant.
Singapore which is also a victim of the fast spreading Delta variant reported on Friday that three quarters of its coronavirus cases occurred among vaccinated individuals.
The Public Health England reported on Friday that of a total of 3,692 people hospitalized in Britain with the Delta variant 22.8% were fully vaccinated.
Similarly in Israel as per their health officials 60% of current hospitalized COVID-19 cases are in vaccinated people.
