PTI’s Asad Umar resigns after dooming Pakistan’s Economy

PTI’s Asad Umar resigned from the Federal Cabinet and from the portfolio of Pakistan’s federal finance minister about an hour ago – the resignation of Asad Umar was since long demanded by the Pakistani Nation but the PTI led government was adamant to bow down to public demand.

The today’s decision of Asad Umar has come after the strong pressure and demand of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) which had made it very clear few days before to the Pakistani government that till Asad Umar is not removed from the portfolio of finance ministry and a capable person if not brought on the seat of federal finance minister the IMF will not grant the loan demanded by Pakistan as per sources.

The sources reveal that it was the pressure of IMF that made the PTI Chairman and Prime Minister Pakistan Imran Khan to advise the federal minister finace Asad Umar to resign himself as alternately the government will have to take the decision itself as per sources.

Asad Umar while giving another twist to the decision tweeted that: “As part of a cabinet reshuffle PM desired that I take the energy minister portfolio instead of finance. However, I have obtained his consent to not take any cabinet position. I strongly believe is the best hope for Pakistan and inshallah will make a naya pakistan”.

Pakistan’s National Assembly’s Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif also commented on the failure of PTI government’s financial policy through his tweet.
